Located in the heart of the beautiful Holme Valley and just a short walk from the centre of Historic Holmfirth, the rural village of Netherthong is just 5 minutes from the Peak District National Park
With its awe-inspiring scenery across the Holme Valley, Netherthong is popular with walkers, cyclists and wildlife enthusiasts, as well as being the perfect base for exploring Yorkshire and days out further afield.
Within Netherthong itself, there is a choice of places to eat and drink, from the cosy and friendly Clothiers Arms, which has its own authentic Indian Restaurant, the New Bengal, to the Cider press, which as its name suggests serves its own ‘Pure North’ Ciders, pressed on site, alongside fantastic food made using local produce. In the villages surrounding Holmleigh Manor B&B, there is a wide choice of places to eat including the award winning Devour, serving exceptional Italian food, Whippet and Pickle – seasonal local produce and The Winking Stag with an enticing Japanese Menu. Every taste is covered from Indian to Italian, Mexican to Mediterranean. We are delighted to offer you a recommendation and even make a reservation for you.
There really is so much to do here in West Yorkshire, but if you are spoilt for choice we are always happy to help with an itinerary for you. Many of the destinations in the links below may give you some ideas and take you into North Yorkshire and the Peak District and the approximate distance by car.
